FRANKLIN FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Family photography is about so much more than taking pictures.

The best photographs don't just show what your family looked like, they tell the story of who you were together.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS YOU'LL COME BACK TO

Somewhere along the way we started believing the goal of family photography was getting everyone to look at the camera and smile. But years from now, those probably won't be the photographs that make your remember how special this season truly was.

The photographs you'll treasure most are usually the ones where real life was happening.

The giggles, the games, the running, the cuddles — the moments your children were simply allowed to be children.

Mama, they're the photographs that let you see yourself the way your children have always seen you.

Years from now, they're the photographs that make you stop and wonder, "How did they grow up so fast?"

Those aren't interruptions to the session, they are the session.

Real families.
Real connection.
Real life, honestly remembered.

AND HERE'S WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE

WHAT IF THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE MY FAMILY?

If you're reading this thinking...

"My kids won't cooperate."

"My husband hates having his picture taken."

"We're awkward in front of the camera."

"That works for other families... but definitely not ours."

HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS -

Almost every family I've photographed started with one or more of those same worries.

They didn't need better-behaved kids, a husband who suddenly loved photos, or children who smiled on command.

They just needed someone who knew how to create a space where they could simply be themselves.

Before your session we'll make a plan together so when the day arrives, you can be fully present with your family.

You show up and I'll take care of the rest.

As you scroll, don't look for perfect smiles. Look for connection, personality, and the little moments that become the memories.

REAL FAMILIES. REAL MOMENTS.

“Courtney was such a joy to work with and so easy to communicate with.”

The actual session was lighthearted and fun. aptured this phase in our life so well - the silly, the smiles, the laughter, the cuddles.

New baby. Big siblings. One very full house. Exactly the way this season should be remembered.

Five personalities. One family. That's the part I want to remember.

A little game of peekaboo made this one of my favorite moments from the evening.

FAQs

What should we actually expect during a session?

Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like an hour intentionally spent together. We'll play, explore, cuddle, laugh, and follow your children's lead. I'll guide you every step of the way, so you never have to wonder what to do next —and before you know it, you'll forget there's even a camera there.

What if my husband doesn't love having his picture taken?

He's in good company! Most dads tell me the exact same thing, and almost all of them leave saying, "That wasn't nearly as bad as I expected." My job is to keep everyone moving, interacting, and focused on each other — not staring at the camera or holding awkward poses.

What if my kids don't cooperate?

Honestly? I don't expect them to. Kids are meant to move, explore, and have big feelings. Some of my favorite photographs come from those in-between moments. I build my sessions around children being themselves, so there's no pressure for perfect behavior — just room for your family to be exactly who you are.

LESS POSING. MORE PLAYING. MORE LAUGHING. MORE YOU.
