The end of summer is the season of warmth, sunshine, and endless adventures, making it the perfect time for families to come together and create lasting memories. As a Franklin family photographer, I love nothing more than being outdoors in wide open spaces allowing your littles to run around and create lasting memories through photographs.
This session is one full of boundless energy and overflowing love – this family had a story of genuine connection that was heartwarming to be apart of. The golden hour light cast a warm glow on this family of five, making the evening even more stunning than it already was.
Our time together started off in a beautiful garden, surrounded by blooms and sunlight. The two brothers were running around, giggling and chasing each other, while mom cuddled her months old baby girl and dad found himself chasing around the older two. Next, we all moved to a wide open field where dad wrestled with his boys, mom and baby girl admiring right next to the play unfolding.
The images featured in this blog post were taken during the outdoor styled session put on by The Kindred Path.

I had the incredible experience of attending The Kindred Path‘s first Gather Workshop. It was a weekend led by two incredible mentors in the photography community – Adrienne Shelton of Beatific Visions Photography and Marie Tilkins of Marie Elizabeth Photography. Alongside them were guest educations Morgan Williams and Kara Powers.
We spent our time in community, learning all things in home sessions, newborn photography, product offerings, and more. We gathered for meals, photographed styled shoots together, and poured into each other and our businesses. I always feel so inspired after investing into my business, and there is something about doing it with others that truly fills my cup.
“What an incredible experience it was to be apart of The Kindred Path’s first Gather Workshop! There is something about being in a room full of others who share the same passion that fills my cup up more than I knew I needed. Adrianne and Marie are two women who truly believe in creating a space for community and growing within that. Having both Morgan and Kara as guest speakers share their stories and businesses with us was amazing and I learned so much from each of them! From the community of other photographers sharing their hearts and talents to photographing two beautiful families, it was a weekend I will never forget.” – Courtney Houk
